The decision to create IMUP Recovery was inspired by my struggle to obtain treatment when I needed it. My insurer denied multiple requests for care, and ultimately, I had to pay for my inpatient treatment out of pocket.

We are at the first step of what we hope will be a long and meaningful journey. One day, I envision an entire treatment community that encompasses the full spectrum of care, from detox to residential treatment, vocational training, and ongoing advocacy and support.

It feels overwhelming as I sit here today, so our phase one focuses on collaborating with those already in the treatment arena who share our beliefs about how to approach individuals facing substance use difficulties.

I believe this is something good.
